9to5Mac reported that with the latest iPhone update, users will now be able to see a new message when anyone sets up an AirTag, which alerts them that the accessory has been linked to their Apple ID. The message indicates that using AirTag to track people without their consent is a crime around the world and victims can bring law enforcement officials to check the information about the AirTag owners.

Before the iPhone update to iOS 15.4 beta 4, iPhones used to show a notification with the information that an unknown accessory has been detected moving with them, which used to cause unnecessary fear. With the latest update, Apple will display clearer notifications while specifying the model of the device instead of to referring it as an ‘unknown accessory'. This will help the iPhone users to be clear about the Apple accessories that are connected with their phones. They will also get to know that an AirTag has been linked with their device.

Even the ‘Find My app' in the latest update iOS 15.4 beta comes with new notification settings that lets iPhone users change specific options for Find My accessories and Tracking separately. The iOS 15.4 update is currently available for the beta developers and public beta users. The report mentioned that the official release of iOS 15.4 is expected this upcoming spring.
