WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging apps in the world and it keeps on adding new features to its portfolio to ensure it remains one of the best messenger apps out there and to retain users. While some of these features are aimed at bringing new functionalities to the app, others are aimed at making WhatsApp's interface cleaner. In the past couple of weeks, reports have detailed features such as voice waveforms and forward sticker packs that are aimed at bringing cosmetic changes to the app. Now, a new report talks about another change that WhatsApp is making to its Android app that will likely grab your attention.

WhatsApp Profile Picture

WABetaInfo reports that the Facebook-owned messaging app is planning to make a small tweak to WhatsApp's user interface that will make the app look cleaner. WhatsApp is planning to make the profile picture of individual contacts appear smaller in the chat list. In addition to this, Facebook is also planning to remove line separators that distinguish one contact from the other. Together these changes will help in differentiating between contacts in the chat while reducing the need to add additional elements.

As of now, profile pictures in WhatsApp are slightly bigger and hence they are separated from one another using line separators. The upcoming update will change that.

That said, this change is available on WhatsApp beta for Android version There is no word on when this feature will be rolled out to WhatsApp's iOS-based app.

WhatsApp View Once

Separately, WhatsApp has rolled out the View Once feature to the users of its Android beta app. If you haven't been keeping up with the updates, WhatsApp's View Once feature will enable users to share videos and images that can be only viewed once by the receiver. They will disappear from the chat as soon as the receiver views or dismisses the shared video or image. This feature is available to Android beta users.

In addition to this, WhatsApp will also roll out a multi-device support feature to WhatsApp beta for Android app. This feature will enable users to use WhatsApp on up to four connected devices without having internet connectivity on the primary device.
