WhatsApp is rolling out a global brand campaign to create awareness about its interlocking privacy features.
WhatsApp has rolled out its global brand campaign to create awareness about itsprivacy interlocking layers. The new features will offer more privacy and control over conversations. Avinash Pant, director marketing, Meta India, has said that WhatsApp has been consistently adding layers of protection through product-features that empower people with more control over their messages. He said, “This is our way of extending awareness and assurance to our users on how the new and existing built-in layers of protection help you message freely without compromising on your privacy. We want users to know that they always have a safe and private space on WhatsApp, no matter where they are.” He added that it's a great privilege that around two billion people around the world trust WhatsApp to deliver their personal messages every day.

In its campaign, WhatsApp will be educating users about these privacy features through short films by highlighting their benefits. Check out the major privacy features offered by WhatsApp.
Leave Groups Silently: WhatsApp has introduced this feature recently. This will allow users to exit a group privately without notifying other participants in the group.
Hide online active status: Now, users can keep theie online presence private, by choosing who can and can't see when they are online.
No screenshot for View Once messages: The View Once is a pretty secure way to share media files. However, WhatsApp has added one more layer of security by disabling screenshot for View Once messages. The feature is currently being tested and will be rolled out to users soon.
Default E2EE: WhatsApp offers end-to-end encryption by default (regardless of device) to personal messages.
Encrypted Backups: WhatsApp lets users backup their chat history with end-to-end encryption so that it can only be accessed by using a password or encryption key.
Disappearing Messages: WhatsApp's disappearing messages let you set durations for disappearing messages: 24 hours, 7 days, or 90 days so that the photos and videos disappear once they're opened.
Block and Report: Users can block and report someone if they are sending offensive content or spam.
Two-step Verification: For more protection, the two-step verification feature allows users to set a unique six-digit PIN when registering your phone number with WhatsApp again.
