WhatsApp is rolling out a new update through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 2.21.25.19. With this update the application is working on the ability to edit recipients in the drawing editor, before sending your media. The information was provided by WABetaInfo over its twitter handle where it said, "WhatsApp beta for Android 2.21.25.19: what's new? WhatsApp is working on the ability to edit recipients in the drawing editor, before sending your media."

WABeta had earlier in the month of December said that it has found hidden references about a new redesigned layout when sending media. And now, thanks to the 2.21.25.19 beta update, it has been discovered that it will be really possible to edit the recipients before sending your media.

Sharing a screenshot (attached below) WABetaInfo said, "This is a partial screenshot but this section contains the list of your contacts and groups and it appears when you tap the recipient's name in the drawing editor section: so when you are editing your media in the drawing editor, you will be able to select more people to send the media to, even if you're already in a different chat."

However, it also informed that this feature is not available to beta testers because it is under development, but it will be rolled out at a later date.

WABetaInfo via another tweet has also informed that a new WhatsApp security update has been rolled out for users. WhatsApp privacy policy is all about ensuring end-to-end encryption for users' chats and also to provide ways to hide status, profile picture and more.

In one such privacy-driven development, meta-owned instant messaging app has now enabled a new privacy feature for its users. The new measure will ensure that an unknown WhatsApp contact, with whom you have never chatted, will not be able to see your last seen and online status.

"WhatsApp is enabling new privacy measures to protect users. Unauthorized third-party apps cannot see your last seen and online status anymore," WABetaInfo tweeted.

Explaining the reason behind implementing this change, it said "Maybe you don't know, but if you visit the App Store or the Google Play Store you can find some third-party apps that are able to log the last seen and the online status of select contacts. People use these apps to stalk other WhatsApp users, so they know when other people were online, but this was the only information they were able to get."

And now with the latest improvements to protect users, WhatsApp does not show up the last seen and the online status if you have never chatted with another WhatsApp account. Since those third-party apps do not have an active chat with you, they cannot see when you are online.
