Apple kicked off the trend of notch displays with its iPhone X. Soon after Android companies embraced the notch display on their newer phones. From OnePlus 6 to Asus' Zenfone 5, a wide range of Android phones now offer a notch display.

The addition of notch allows phone companies to build taller phones with better aspect ratios without needing to actually alter the dimensions. In simpler terms, you get bigger screen in the same size. While some people don't like the notch, there are many who want to hop on the trend and have a phone that resembles Apple's most expensive phone.

Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro
Xiaomi's first phone with a notch display, Redmi 6 Pro, debuted in India just this week. Featuring a 5.84-inch Full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19:9, Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro has an impressive screen quality. The back panel and overall form factor may not be that impressive, but the phone makes it up with its quality chipset - Snapdragon 625 processor.

Key features of the phone include 3GB/4GB RAM, 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel dual rear cameras, 5-megapixel selfie camera, and 4,000mAh battery. The two variants of Redmi 6 Pro are available for 10,999 and 12,999 respectively.

Nokia 6.1 Plus
Rival to Xiaomi's Mi A2, Nokia 6.1 Plus is far better looking phone under 20,000. Featuring a notch on the front, Nokia 6.1 Plus has a 5.8-inch Full HD+ display. In terms of performance, Nokia 6.1 Plus is no slouch either. It relies on Snapdragon 636 processor and is powered by a 3,060mAh battery. Other key features of the phone include 16MP + 5MP rear cameras and 16MP front camera. The smartphone is available for 15,999.

Huawei P20 Lite
Huawei's new P20 Lite comes with iPhone x-like notch display design and Face Unlock feature. Priced at 19,999, P20 Lite has 5.8-inch full HD display. It is powered Huawei's mid-range focused Kirin 659 processor along with 4GB of RAM. It has 64GB of built-in storage. In the camera department, it has 16-megapixel sensor and 2-megapixel sensors on the back. On the front, it has a 16-megapixel sensor. It is powered by a 3,000mAh battery.

Huawei's Nova 3i also sports a notch but comes with a larger 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Key specs include Kirin 710 processor, 3,340mAh battery and 4GB of RAM. The phone is available for 20,999.

Realme 2
Realme 2 is perhaps one of the most affordable phones in the market to come with a notch display. The phone is available in India at a starting price of 8,990. Apart from a notch display, Realme 2 has a glass-finish plastic panel to render a premium look and feel.But it has an older processor - Snapdragon 450.

Key specifications of the phone include 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors, 8-megapixel selfie camera, and a large 4,230mAh battery.
