Xiaomi Redmi 7 budget smartphone with Snapdragon 632 SoC launched: Price, specifications
Redmi 7 is the latest budget smartphone from Xiaomi. The smartphone comes with Snapdragon 632 chipset, MIUI 10 (Android 9 Pie) and a 4,000mAh battery.
Xiaomi on Monday launched Redmi 7 smartphone in China. The smartphone was launched alongside the Redmi Note 7 Pro which was first unveiled in India earlier this month.
Redmi 7 comes with the same 'dot notch' design and gradient finish like the Redmi Note 7 series. It is available in three colours of black, red, and blue. In terms of pricing, Redmi 7 starts at RMB 699 ( ₹7,200 approx) for the base model with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. Redmi 7 with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage is priced at RMB 799 ( ₹8,200). There's another variant of Redmi 7 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage which carries a price tag of RMB 999 ( ₹10,200 approx).

Redmi 7 features a 6.26-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 632 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. Redmi 7 also offers expandable storage via a microSD card.
For photography, Redmi 7 has a dual-camera setup of 12-megapixel and 2-megapixel cameras. The same configuration is available on the Indian variant of Redmi Note 7. Up front, it has an 8-megapixel selfie camera. On the software front, Redmi 7 runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie. The smartphone packs a 4,000mAh battery, and houses a rear fingerprint sensor.

Redmi Note 7 Pro China
In China, Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 7 Pro with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It is priced at RMB 1,599 ( ₹16,400 approx). In comparison, Redmi Note 7 Pro (6GB+128GB) is priced at ₹16,999.
