Amazfit GT 2 series to launch in India this month, GTR 2 to debut on Dec 17

Amazfit on Friday said it will bring GT 2 series of smartwatches to India this month. The smartwatch series features GTR 2, GTS2, and GTS 2 mini. The company added it will launch GTR 2 with SpO2 in the country on December 17.

Amazfit's GT 2 series is known for health and fitness focussed features. Some of the top features of the smartwatch series include improved heart-rate monitoring, blood-oxygen saturation measurement technology ‘OxygenBeats', sleep tracking, stress monitoring, and a biological data sensor. The smartwatches also cover basic elements such as calories tracker, exercise data, different workout modes, and distance and speed covered.

The company in its release said it will reveal more details about the roll-out of the devices on its official website and Flipkart. As said earlier, GTR 2 will be introduced on December 17, whereas the other two models will be available in the following weeks.

Amazfit GTR 2 comes with a circular display with a 3D curved bezel-less design. It has a 1.39-inch high-definition AMOLED display. It has 3GB of internal storage. The company claims the device can deliver up to 14 days of battery life on typical usage. On basic usage, GTR 2 can give up to 38 days of back up. It is also said to offer 10 hours of continuous Bluetooth call.

The smartwatch has as many as 12 sports modes such as outdoor running, free training, outdoor cycling, climbing, elliptical and trail running, among others. The device also comes with 5ATM water-resistance.

As mentioned above, the wearable has SpO2 for blood-oxygen measurement. BioTracker 2 helps detect abnormal heart rate alerts.

The device is available in the US for $179.99 ( ₹13,270 approximately).
