HTC is reportedly working on a new TWS. Here’s what we know about the company’s next offering.

HTC may be the next to join the TWS bandwagon. According to reports, the company is working on a TWS called ‘HTC TWS1’. Ahead of the official launch, the wireless earbuds have popped up on the National Certification Corporation (NCC) website.

The listing reveals the device will come with a charging case with a 400mAh power cell with 40 mAh battery in each bud, reports GSMArena. The images listed on the NCC site reveals the earbuds will have touch controls on the side. It may also come with an LED light as well.

According to the listing, HTC TWS1 will be available in at least two colour options, black and white. There is no word on whether the wireless earbuds will support wireless charging. The listing suggests the earphones will offer 0 to 100% charge in about an hour, but it’s likely due to the smaller battery capacity.

That said, HTC has remained relatively low profile throughout this year. Once one of the top smartphone OEMs in the world, HTC this year returned with Desire 20 Pro and HTC U20 smartphones. Launched in June, the phones were initially made available in Taiwan only.

According to Taipeitimes, HTC Corp reported revenue of NT$430 million (US$14.89 million) for last month, down by 47% from NT$817 million in September and 34% from NT$656 million a year earlier. The report further said that the company’s revenue in the first 10 months of this year has declined by 47.7%.
