Xiaomi continues to offer one of the best affordable fitness bands. It's now working on the Mi Band 6 which is poised to come with upgrades such as a built-in GPS receiver and smart home support.

The firmware of what's believed to be the Mi Band 6 has been spotted on the Zepp (formerly Amazfit) app. It has been published on the blogging site Logger along with details on what's coming with the Mi Band 6. According to the report, Mi Band 6 will be available in two variants - one for China with NFC, and the global variant which will most likely not have NFC.

Xiaomi's upcoming fitness band is said to feature a built-in GPS receiver for accurate speed and distance data of your workouts. Mi Band 6 is also expected to feature 12 new exercise modes including HIIT, core training, stretching, pilates, street dance, zumba and stepper. Like the Mi Band 5, this one too will have an SpO2 sensor for blood-oxygen measurement.
