Poco was supposed to launch its first pair of TWS last year but it never happened. It looks like the launch may take place this year, and it would be a rebranded Redmi AirDots 3 Pro. Poco is known to bring Redmi phones under its brand in markets like India but nothing is confirmed yet on the TWS front.

This new speculation comes from a Bluetooth SIG listing that suggests the Redmi AirDots 3 Pro will launch as ‘Poco Pop Buds'. It has been listed along with the Redmi AirDots 3 Pro and Redmi Buds 3 Pro with the same model number TWSEJ01ZM. The listing also suggests another rebranding which is the Redmi Buds 3 Pro. Xiaomi launched the Redmi AirDots 3 Pro in China last week, and is yet to announce its launch for other markets.

As for the Poco Pop Buds, Poco teased its launch last year confirming only the name of the product. The launch didn't happen though. In an interview with Hindustan Times Tech, Poco India's Country Director Anuj Sharma said, “We thought we would do truly wireless earbuds. That has been a lot of learning. Because it is not as easy to get what we wanted. We wanted high quality, good sounding device. We worked with different partners to get that going. We had two prototypes, but none of the two got us really excited. Our first phone plus launch and if it does not deliver, that will put us in a spot.”

Poco is yet to confirm if it will indeed launch the TWS in India this year. It does have the Poco F3 GT launch planned for Q3 this year in India. This phone too is rumoured to be a repackaged Redmi K40 Gaming Edition.
