Redmi Smart Band launched in India, priced at ₹1,599
Redmi Smart Band comes with an LCD display, 24-hour heart rate monitoring, and 5ATM water resistance.
Xiaomi has launched the first Redmi fitness band in India. Redmi Smart Band is another affordable fitness band like the Mi Bands but it comes in a different design. It's also quite similar to the Redmi Band that launched earlier this year.
Redmi Smart Band is priced at ₹1,599, and it will be available starting September 9. The fitness band will go on sale from 1:00 PM onwards via mi.com, Amazon India, Mi Home stores and Mi Studios. It comes in four colour options of green, black, blue and orange. Unlike the Mi Band 4 and Mi Band 3, the Redmi Smart Band features a rectangular display. Rest of the features are mostly what you'd expect on a fitness band.
It has a 1.08-inch LCD colour display with over 50 personalised dials to choose from. The Redmi Smart Band comes with a 24-hour heart rate monitor, and is 5ATM certified which makes it water resistant up to 50 metres for 10 minutes. The Redmi Smart Band is claimed to last for up to 14 days on a single charge. It has direct USB charging which means you can just plug it in to an adapter, power bank or your laptop.
Redmi Smart Band is equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity. It is compatible with devices running Android 4.4 or above, and iOS 9.0 or above with Bluetooth 5.0.
This is the first fitness band launched under the Redmi brand in India. Xiaomi has been launching products other than phones under the Redmi brand. Earlier this year, it launched Redmi earphones and the Redmi Earbuds S wireless earbuds.
