Battlegrounds Mobile India, which is known as BGMI in the gaming lingo, has been satisfying mobile gamers with the same PUBG Mobile experience that is available globally. Similar to PUBG Mobile, BGMI is best played on high-end smartphones to get a consistent experience. However, a BGMI Lite version has been in demand by players on low-end phones for a while.

Prior to the PUBG Mobile ban in India, there was a PUBG Mobile Lite available in India for players on low-end handsets. After Krafton resurrected BGMI in India, it was only expected to release a refreshed version of the PUBG Mobile Lite, expected to be called BGMI Lite.

So far, Krafton has remained tight lipped on BGMI Lite. The publisher is currently focused on launching PUBG New State globally on November 11 and all discussions are mostly surrounding this new version.

However, a couple of prominent game streamers in India have talked about BGMI Lite on social media, hinting at a possibility in the near future. Abhijeet “Ghatak” Andhare, an influencer, has assured his followers of a BGMI Lite, adding that the game will definitely arrive but could take some time.

This surely gives us hopes but Krafton has nothing say about it as of now. BGMI continues to be the main game for Indian fans delivering the PUBG experience. The PUBG New State launch will add another title for players to enjoy.

All eyes on PUBG New State

PUBG New State is currently the next biggest launch from Krafton in the mobile universe. The games is supposed to be based on PUBG Mobile but is set in the future. Krafton promises an improved gameplay experience along with updated graphics and a completely new map for players to wreak havoc on. The game is also said to bring the older maps of Erangel and Miramar from PUBG Mobile but slightly modified for the game's themes.

Meanwhile, arch rival Garena had revealed an upgraded version of its Free Fire game, called Free Fire Max. Free Fire Max offers better high resolution graphics and improved animations in comparison to the standard game.
