Genshin Impact 2.1 update has just been announced. Popular online action roleplaying game Genshin Impact will receive an update to version 2.1 which will bring important changes to the game, developer Mihoyo said on its website. The company has revealed that the upcoming update, called “Floating World Under the Moonlight,” will add new characters and new islands to explore, along with a new fishing feature.

In a video trailer released over the weekend, Mihoyo revealed some of the new in-game content that will arrive in the Genshin Impact 2.1 update, which is expected to land on September 1. When the update arrives on Android, it will bring new characters to pick. These are Sangonomiya Kokomi, Horizon Dawn's Aloy, Kujou Sara and the ever-popular Raiden Shogun. Aloy is a 5-star archer, while Kokomi is a 5-star catalyst with Hydro powers, while Sara wields Electro attacks.

With the upcoming Genshin Impact 2.1 update, the Inazuma storyline will be brought to an end and the game will gain two new islands in addition to the four that were released with the major version 2.0 update. Users will gain access to Seirai Island and Watatsumi Island as part of the update. Meanwhile, they will also have to face new boss battles that include Signora, Thunder Manifestation and Hydro Hypostasis. Gamers will also be able to try the new fishing feature that will allow them to catch a variety of fish across the continent, and the meat can be used to gain rewards -- or even new rods if they really like the new feature.

In order to redeem these codes, gamers will have to open the game on their phone, then tap on the profile photo. After tapping on Settings and Account, they can select the Redeem Now option after entering the code mentioned above (only use one at a time) and then tap the button to redeem the rewards. After you do so, you can visit your in-game mailbox and collect all your Primogems. You can alternatively visit the game's gift/redeem website and log in with your game details, select the right server (based on your region) and then tap on the redeem button, which will send the rewards to your in-game mailbox.
