While the JioPhone Next has been the talk of the town for the past couple of days for all the wrong reasons, Reliance could well be preparing to launch nother product, one that it is not known for - a laptop. The Reliance JioBook laptop launch is expected to take place soon since the device has been reportedly spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website. The JioBook laptop could be made available in multiple configurations, with three variants said to be listed on the certification site. It is just a listing so not much is known about the upcoming Reliance JioBook laptop apart from the model designations.

However, previous reports have revealed some specifications of the Reliance JioBook. It could come with a Snapdragon processor, 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and up to 64GB of onboard storage and 4G LTE connectivity. The latest development comes from popular tipster Mukul Sharma who spotted the Reliance JioBook laptop on the BIS certification website. The upcoming JioBook laptop carries three internal model designations — NB1118QMW, NB1148QMW, and NB1112MM. Hence, we can expect Reliance to launch the JioBook in three configurations.

The JioBook laptop could also come equipped with an HD (1,366x768 pixels) display. It is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 665 SoC paired with a Snapdragon X12 4G modem. It may well be paired with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 64GB of eMMC onboard storage. As for the connectivity options, it might include a mini HDMI connector, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. A three-axis accelerometer and a Qualcomm audio chip may also be included in the laptop.

The JioBook laptop is likely to come with Jio apps like JioStore, JioMeet, and JioPages. These apps are expected to come pre-installed on the upcoming laptop. Moreover, Microsoft apps such as Microsoft Teams, Edge and Office are also expected to be pre-installed on the JioBook.

As far as JioBook laptop price is concerned, then there are no details available as yet. However, the laptop can be expected to be a budget offering. The Reliance JioBook was earlier tipped to launch during the 2021 edition of Jio's Annual General Meeting (AGM), but that didn't happen. We aren't speculating anything on the launch front since the chip shortage could still change the company's plans as it did with the JioPhone Next launch.
