Apple iPhone 12 Max: Rumoured specs, features, features and more
Apple is all set to unveil as many as four iPhones at its October 13 event. With numerous leaks and rumours, there’s hardly anything that is left to imagine now. So, before the official unveiling takes place, here’s everything that we know about the rumoured iPhone 12 Max.
The 12 Max will probably be the larger and slightly more powerful version of the iPhone 12 (aka iPhone 12 Mini). This one is said to feature a 6.1-inch screen and as per the tipsters, their might be an OLED panel, which is said to be the same for all the iPhones in the series this time. The OLED panels may come from both BOE and LG with 2532 x 1170 resolution.
Also rumoured is that this new iPhone may have a starting price of $799, which is $100 more than iPhone 12 and matches the pricing pattern of Apple based on the history of products.
Apple has already introduced its Apple A14 Bionic processor in the newest iPad so that might just be powering all the iPhones, including the rumoured iPhone 12 Max as well. As for the RAM and storage, the device could have 6GB RAM, same as what’s rumoured for iPhone 12.
This might also have two rear cameras which might be the same as the setup used in iPhone 12. There won’t be a Lidar Sensor in these. The front-camera and the notch size may also stay the same. Rumours have also indicated that the base model of both iPhone 12 Max and iPhone 12 will feature 64GB inbuilt storage. However, you may also get it in 128GB and 256GB storage options.
What might be a turn off is the fact that this year iPhone 12 models won’t feature a charging/Lightning cable or a adapter and earpods inside the retail box - a factor that will help Apple control the price of the retail iPhones.
