Asus ROG Phone 5 spotted on Geekbench, key specifications revealed
The upcoming gaming phone will offer up to 16 of RAM and Qualcomm’s top-end Snapdragon 888 processor, according to a Geekbench listing.
Asus will soon launch its next-generation ROG phone. Dubbed as ROG Phone 5, the handset has already made appearances on multiple certification websites. Now, Asus ROG Phone 5 has been spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking website.
The listing reveals the phone with model number ASUS_I005DA. It is seen running Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 processor (listed as codename ‘Lahaina'). The SoC is paired with 16GB of RAM. It also reveals the phone has Android 11 OS out-of-the-box, according to a Gizmochina report.
As far as benchmark scores go, ROG Phone 5 has bagged 1125 single-core points and 3714 multi-core points.
According to an older TENAA listing, Asus ROG Phone 5 will debut with a 6,000mAh battery coupled with 65W fast charging support. It is said to come with a triple rear camera setup. The phone will have a 64-megapixel primary sensor on the back. On the front, it will have a 6.78-inch display with an AMOLED panel, in-display fingerprint reader, and up to 144Hz refresh rate.
Asus' ROG Phone 5 will succeed the ROG Phone 3, which launched in July last year. The gaming-focused phone comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+, 144Hz AMOLED screen and 6000mAh battery.
The ROG Phone 3 has a 6.59-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with 10-bit HDR10+ support. It comes with up to 16GB of RAM and UFS 3.1 built-in storage.
For photography, it offers a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor Quad Bayer technology and f/1.8 aperture + 13-megapixel 125-degree ultra-wide camera + 5-megapixel macro camera with f/2.0 aperture. At the front, it has a 24-megapixel f/2.0 camera.
Asus ROG Phone 3 is available in India for a starting price of ₹47,000 approximately.
