Now that Samsung's foldable smartphones and Apple's iPhone 13 series have been launched, all eyes are on Google, which is expected to launch its Pixel 6 series consisting of the Google Pixel 6 and the Google Pixel 6 Pro sometime in the fall this year. While Google has been consistently teasing details about its upcoming Pixel 6 series smartphones for the past several weeks, it has mostly remained tight-lipped about the launch dates. Google Store so far has shown that the company's upcoming Pixel 6 series will launch in the fall of 2021. But that has changed now.

Google Japan shared a video via its official YouTube channel. This new video says that the Google Pixel 6 will be “Coming Soon”. This means that the Pixel 6 series is inching closer to launch and that it is expected to launch in October as a lot of reports in the past have already indicated. If those reports are to be believed, the upcoming Google Pixel 6 series will launch on October 19 and it will go on sale on October 28. However, Google hasn't confirmed the official launch date yet so we will have to keep our fingers crossed for now.

Apart from this, the new video has revealed a number of key features that will be available in the Pixel 6 series smartphones at the time of launch. The video shared by Google Japan shows the new music control bar, player buttons, weather, and clock widgets. All of these features are a part of the upcoming Android 12 mobile OS and so they are likely to be available in other Android smartphones as well.

The video shared by Google Japan also shows that the default theme of the phone has multiple color-matching styles including purple, red, grey, blue and brown. It also shows that while there are several major changes, the search box remains at the bottom. Furthermore, the video shows that the upcoming Google Pixel 6 and the Google Pixel 6 Pro smartphones will come with a punch-hole camera that is placed in the middle of the phone's display. It will also have slim bezels on the top and on the sides and a slightly thicker chin. In addition to that, the Pixel 6 series is tipped to be powered by Google's Tensor system-on-chip -- something that Google has already confirmed via a listing on the Google Store in the past.

The Google Pixel 6 is expected to come with a 6.4-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, while the Pixel 6 Pro is likely to come with a 6.7-inch QHD+ panel with support for 120Hz refresh rate. While Pixel 6 is expected to come with a 50MP + 12MP dual rear camera setup, the Pixel 6 Pro is expected to come with a triple rear camera setup consisting of 50MP + 12MP + 48MP camera setup.
