Google Pixel is one the top smartphones in the world and you would expect it to provide some basic tools that users would certainly need sooner or later. However, there was this one thing that was missing - Google Phone app did not have a native call recording feature for a long time. However, that changed last year when the company finally rolled out this functionality. But, for some reason, this feature was limited to Google Pixel smartphones in the US alone. Now, word is that the company has finally, started rolling out support for the call recording feature on its Phone app to Pixel users around the world.

The news comes courtesy of a Twitter user who spotted this functionality on his Pixel 4a smartphone in India. When enabled, the Phone app gets a new ‘Record' button that is placed towards the right side of the ‘Add Call' feature. You can check if you have received support for the call recording feature in the Google Phone app on your Pixel smartphone by following this path: Google Phone app > Settings > Call recording.

As of now, this feature seems to be rolling out to all compatible Google Pixel smartphones around the globe where call recording is legal. If you live in a country where call recording isn't allowed, this feature will not be available to you.

If you do get this feature, you will have quite a few options to play with including the one that allows the app to auto-delete any saved recording after 7 days, 14 days or 30 days. Alternatively, you can also save the files forever by opting for manual deletion option.
