Infinix offers 60-days extended warranty to its customers
Eligible customers can apply for the warrant extension through the pre-loaded CarlCare application.
Infinix, the premium smartphone brand from Transsion Group, on Monday announced a 60-day warranty extension for its users in India.
The warranty extension will apply to smartphones whose warranties were expiring between April 15 and June 15. To apply for the warranty extension, eligible customers will need to register themselves on the pre-installed CarlCare mobile application before June 30, 2021.
To apply for the extension, open the CarlCare app and click on the warranty button on the home page. Check the validity of your device by entering IMEI. If your device is eligible for an extension, a 60-days extended warranty option will be visible. Click on Receive to extend the warranty.
Apart from Infinix, many other smartphone companies have announced similar warrant extension programmes for their customers. The extension schemes come amid the fresh surge in Covid-19 cases in India.
Last week, Xiaomi said it had extended the warranty of devices by two months. The extension applies to Xiaomi devices whose warrant is expiring in May or June this year. Similarly, Oppo said it had extended the repair warranty on all of its products until June 30. Vivo and Poco made also launched similar warrant extensions.
Bonus: Hot 10S
Infinix last week launched the Hot 10S handset in India. The smartphone will be available online through Flipkart from May 27. The base model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage is priced at ₹9,999. The top-end model that houses 6GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage will cost ₹10,999. The handset will come in Heart of Ocean, Morandi Green, 7-Degree Purple and 95-Degree Black colour options.
In terms of specs, the Hot 10S has a 6.82-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone comes with a triple rear camera setup, including a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, and an AI lens. For selfies, it has an 8-megapixel camera.
For performance, it runs on a MediaTek Helio G85 processor. It packs a 6,000mAh battery. On the software front, it has Android 11-based XOS 7.6.
