Lenovo teases next-gen Legion gaming smartphone, to compete ROG Phone 5

Lenovo is planning to soon launch the successor of its Legion gaming smartphone this year. The company has already teased the handset on Weibo. The teaser image not only reveals the obvious arrival of the new device, but also indicates that ‘cooling' will be the focus of the next Legion handset.
In the post on Weibo, Lenovo's General Manager Chen Jin adds that the handset will feature a lot of new functionalities and will not compromise on anything that will deliver gamers an improved experience.
Although the exact timeline for launch has not been revealed, Jin says that the next Legion gaming smartphone will be coming in Spring this year.

As for the rumoured specifications, the next-gen smartphone may be called as ‘Lenovo Legion Pro 2' and may be powered by Qualcomm's high-end Snapdragon 888 processor. It may also feature 16GB of RAM. We can see some unique solution for active cooling, as it has been mentioned in the teaser.
One can even expect a large battery of at least 5,000mAh capacity, along with an AMOLED screen and 144hz refresh rate. The handset might also be pitched as an arch-rival to the Asus ROG Phone 5, which has just been announced and will be detailed on March 4.
Asus on Tuesday confirmed its upcoming gaming smartphone, ROG Phone 5, will launch in India on March 10. Apart from India, Asus will unveil the phone in the US, Germany, and Taiwan on the same date.
As revealed by DxOMark website, the ROG Phone 5 is expected to feature a secondary screen at the back along with the iconic Anime Matrix tech.
