Google typically launches its mid-budget smartphone at its annual developers' conference Google I/O, which is typically held in May, and its flagship smartphone in fall every year. Now, word is that the company is planning to launch a new smartphone in June this year.

As per a report by Jon Prosser, Google will launch a new smartphone on June 11. However, the tipster said that he isn’t sure as to which smartphone the company will introduce in June.

Google is set to launch two new smartphones this year. First is the budget Pixel 5A smartphone, which will succeed last year’s Pixel 4A smartphone and the other is the Pixel 6 smartphone, which will succeed last year’s Pixel 5 smartphone. If this report is to be believed, Google could launch any one of the two smartphones, that is, Pixel 5A, which would typically be launched in May, or Pixel 6, which would typically be launched around October, on June 11.

Separately, reports in the past couple of weeks have detailed what we should expect from the upcoming Pixel 5a smartphone. If reports are to be believed, the Pixel 4a successor will not come with a punch-hole display. Instead, it will come with a thin chin on the top that will house the front camera. The phone is also tipped to get 6GB of RAM and 128GB of flash memory. Additionally, it is likely to come with a video stabilization feature that is similar to the Pixel 4a 5G and the Pixel 5 smartphones.

Reports have also hinted towards the phone coming with a 6.2-inch OLED FHD+ display, a 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo speakers and an in-display fingerprint sensor. There is no word on the processor, battery or camera specifications yet.
