No, Apple won’t do away with the notch in iPhone 12
Apple is expected to launch four iPhone models this fall. The company’s 2020 lineup includes a 5.4-inch model, two 6.1-inch models and a 6.7-inch model.
Apple is expected to launch its next-generation iPhones, that is, the iPhone 12 series, in October this year. Ahead of the launch, the internet is buzzing with details about the upcoming iPhones. And the latest report talks about the notch of the upcoming iPhone 12 series smartphones.
As per a tipster who goes by the name Mr White on Twitter says that the upcoming iPhone 12 series smartphones will have the “same size Face ID sensor”. This indicates that the iPhone 12 will have the same notch as the previous generation iPhones. However, it remains unclear which iPhone model the tipster is talking about in the image.
Notably, a number of reports in the past have hinted towards Apple launching a notchless iPhone in 2020. But if this report is true, Apple lovers will probably have to wait for another generation to get a glimpse of a notchless iPhone.

A separate report by Mac Rumours suggests that while the iPhone 12 may feature a notch that is of the same size as the iPhone 11 the image of the iPhone 12 shared by the tipster hints towards the upcoming iPhone 12 series smartphones getting massive internal upgrades over its predecessor.
