Oppo Reno 5 5G, Reno 5 Pro 5G launched, Reno 5 Pro+ 5G coming soon

    Oppo launched its latest Reno 5 series in China. The new smartphone series features the Reno 5 5G and Reno 5 Pro 5G. Oppo also teased the Reno 5 Pro+ 5G showing off its design, and some key features.

    Oppo Reno 5 5G starts at CNY 2,699 ( 30,400 approx) for the base model. It comes in three colour options of Aurora Blue, Moonlight Night and Starry Night. Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G has a starting price of CNY 3,399 ( 38,200 approx) for the base model. It comes in the same colour options as the Reno 5.

    As for the Oppo Reno 5 Pro+ 5G, the smartphone has four rear cameras, is powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC, and supports 65W fast charging. Its pricing details haven't been revealed but it will be available from December 24 onwards.

    Oppo Reno 5 5G specifications

    Oppo Reno 5 5G features a 6.4-inch full HD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset. The smartphone comes in two variants of 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB. On the software front, Oppo Reno 5 5G runs Android 11 with ColorOS 11.1 on top.

    It has a quad-camera setup featuring a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra wide angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The smartphone also has a 32-megapixel front camera for selfies. Oppo Reno 5 5G packs a 4,300mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging.

    The Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G comes with the same display specs as the Reno 5 but a bigger 6.5-inch screen. The smartphone also offers the same cameras as the Reno 5. Under the hood runs MediaTek's Dimensity 1000+ chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It has a 4,350mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging.
