Oppo Reno 5 series to launch on December 10, here's what to expect

Oppo's next Reno smartphone series could launch on December 10. The company has teased a new event for the launch of “Star Diamond Rejuvenation series” for December 10 which is most likely the Reno 5 series.

The Oppo Reno 5 series is expected to feature the Reno 5, Reno 5 Pro, and Reno 5 Pro. Oppo's teaser doesn't specify the Reno 5 series but with the smartphones getting leaked quite often, it's quite likely to happen. According to a leak by tipster Digital Chat Station, Oppo will offer two Reno 5 smartphones with a curved display, and the other with a flat display. All three smartphones are also said to feature a punch-hole camera.

In terms of specs, Oppo Reno 5 could feature a 6.43-inch full HD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and pack a 4,300mAh battery. It is said to house a triple camera setup with a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, and two 2-megapixel sensors.

Oppo Reno 5 Pro will possibly feature a bigger 6.55-inch display, and a 4,350mAh battery. The smartphone is said to offer the same camera specs as the Reno 5. It is also expected to run on MediaTek's Dimensity 1000+ processor.

The most premium Reno 5 Pro Plus is rumoured to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 processor, and a 4,500mAh battery. It could also house a 50-megapixel primary sensor along with a 16-megapixel sensor, a 12-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor. The smartphone will most likely feature the same display size as the Reno 5 Pro.

The expected pricing of the Reno 5 series has also been leaked. Oppo Reno 5 could start at CNY 2,999 ( ₹33,700 approx), the Reno 5 Pro at CNY 3,799 ( ₹42,700 approx) and Reno 5 Pro Plus at CNY 4,499 ( ₹50,600 approx).
