Poco M4 Pro 4G variant is India bound on February 28, likely to have an AMOLED display
Poco M4 Pro 4G variant is launching in India on February 28. The 4G variant is rumoured to be based on Redmi Note 11S.
Poco M4 Pro 4G is coming to India soon! Poco had just got done releasing the Poco M4 Pro 5G in India last week, at a starting price of Rs. 14,999. The phone was essentially based on the Redmi Note 11T 5G, a phone that Xiaomi already sells in India with almost the same features and specifications. Poco, however, offers the same at a lower price and wrapped in a new design. With the 5G version out, the Poco M4 Pro 4G variant is coming on February 28 and could be based on the Redmi Note 11S.
Poco is yet to confirm more details on the 4G variant of the Poco M4 Pro. However, rumours suggest that the 4G version will be a Redmi Note 11S with a new set of clothes. This means the phone could bring advanced features for a Poco M series device for the first time, such as an AMOLED display, a fast 33W charging, and possibly the new MIUI 13 experience.
Poco M4 Pro 4G launching in India soon
Note that the Poco M4 Pro 4G will be unveiled at the MWC Barcelona on February 28 at 7 pm IST. Hence, India will get to see the phone at the same time as Poco's global markets.
What remains to be seen is how much of a difference does the Poco M4 Pro offers in comparison to the Redmi Note 11S. We already know that Poco tries hard to change the design on its phones, going for aggressive geometric shapes with bright colours and ambitious elements. Hence, this one could be a better built Redmi Note 11S with possibly a lower price tag.
If the phone is based on the Redmi Note 11S, we could see the same MediaTek Helio G96 chipset underneath with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 storage. The phone could get the 6.4-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The display could hold the same 16MP selfie camera.
On the rear, the phone could get a 108MP main camera accompanied by a 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth camera. Rumours also suggest that Poco could use a less capable 64MP camera to keep the costs low. The phone could rely on the same 5000mAh battery with a 33W wired charging solution.
