A ‘mysterious' Realme phone was spotted on a 3C and TENAA listing recently and it might be the Realme GT 5G Master Edition, as reports suggest. This phone sports the model number RMX3366 and was earlier believed to be the Realme X9 Pro. However, recent leaks from China suggest that it is the Realme GT 5G Master Edition. There is still some contention though that the phone spotted on listings might still be the Realme X9 Pro since the tipped specifications of this device are different from the original Realme GT 5G.

The Realme Vice President Xu Qi posted an image of a smartphone on Weibo without sharing any details. This image included Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa so it could be a collaboration at work. Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station (translated) also shared some information recently on Weibo pointing to the fact that the phone “in question” is the Realme GT 5G Master Edition.

However, the phone in the image has a centrally located vertical rear camera module and two or three colours. The back panel design on this device, including the camera module on the back, is totally different from what the Realme GT 5G looks like. Now, Realme has launched Master Editions of other phones earlier and they usually come with some aesthetic changes while maintaining the same specifications as the original model. This time around, not only is the design different, the specs are too, which is confusing a lot of people. It could also be possible that Realme shared an older image to show that they are working with Fukasawa again.

Another tipster who goes by the name Arsenal (translated) shared that the mysterious Realme device spotted on 3C and TENAA with model number RMX3366 is the Realme GT 5G Master Edition and not the Realme X9 Pro.

If this tipster is correct, the Realme GT 5G Master Edition may come with a 6.55-inch AMOLED full-HD+ display with curved edges and a punch-hole design. There might be a 32MP Sony IMX616 selfie camera and on the back, the phone may come with a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor, a 16MP Sony IMX481 sensor with a super-wide lens, and a 2MPl black and white sensor. The Realme GT 5G Master Edition might be powered by the Snapdragon 870 SoC and come with up to 12GB of RAM with up to 256GB of storage.

Arsenal also shared that Realme has two phones in development - the Realme X9 and the Realme GT 5G Master Edition. The Realme X9 is going to replace the Realme V15 that launched in China in January this year.
