These are upgraded models of the Redmi Note 9 series which made its debut earlier this year in March. Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing has now shared an image of what's believed to be the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G.
Based on the teaser image, Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G has a gradient design with a mix of blue and orange colours. There's a circular camera module at the rear featuring four sensors. We can also spot a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. Weibing also hinted at an “advanced” camera setup on the new Redmi Note 9 series but didn't divulge any details.

In addition to 5G, these Redmi Note 9 smartphones are said to come with upgraded specs as well. The smartphone is also said to house a 108-megapixel rear camera, and a 16-megapixel front camera.
Redmi Note 9 5G is said to feature a 6.53-inch full HD+ display, and run MediaTek's Dimensity 800U processor under its hood. Xiaomi could offer it in three storage options of 4GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. Redmi Note 9 5G is also expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery, a 48-megapixel primary camera and a 13-megapixel selfie camera.
