Samsung Galaxy M42 could launch with 6,000mAh battery, new leak reveals

Samsung Galaxy M42 along with Galaxy M12 will debut later this year or early next year. While Galaxy M12 will offer a mammoth 7,000mAh battery, Galaxy M42 is said to come with a 6,000mAh battery.

Apart from Galaxy M12, Samsung is working on another Galaxy M series phone. Called Galaxy M42, the smartphone is expected to launch later this year or early next year. Ahead of the official launch, more new details of the upcoming phone have surfaced online.

Samsung Galaxy M42, bearing model number SM-M425F, has been spotted on 3C and DEKRA certification platforms. The listing reveals the phone has 5,830mAh capacity. According to Sammobile, Samsung is likely to market the capacity as 6,000mAh. Interestingly, the same battery (model number EB-BM425ABY) was recently spotted on the BIS website, hinting at an imminent launch in India.

That said, Galaxy M42 will join a long list of Galaxy M phones with 6,000mAh battery capacity. The upcoming phone is said to come with a 64-megapixel primary sensor on the back, and 128GB built-in storage. According to reports, Samsung Galaxy M42 will be a stripped-down version of the Galaxy A42 5G.

Separately, Samsung Galaxy M12 has made an early appearance on the web in the form of renders. Posted by Onleaks-Voice, Samsung Galaxy M12 will come with Galaxy A42 5G-like design. It is also said to come with a dual-tone textured finish on the back, identical to old Google Pixel phones.

Samsung Galaxy M12 is said to come with a flat 6.5-inch display. It is also said to come with a quad-camera setup, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and Infinity-V cut-out. The biggest feature of the Galaxy M12 is 7,000mAh battery. If launched, it will be the first Samsung Galaxy M phone to offer such a high capacity phone. According to reports, Samsung Galaxy M12 will be available in the price vicinity of ₹13,000.

Other leaked features of Galaxy M12 include Exynos 9611 processor, 4GB of RAM, 48-megapixel quad-rear camera, and a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
