Samsung Galaxy S21 is coming to India: Here’s the proof

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S21 series has been in the news for quite some time now. Reports in the past have not only detailed the features that the phones are expected to sport but they have also hinted towards a potential launch date. Now, word is that the Galaxy S21 smartphones are coming to India.

RootMyGalaxy in its report noted that the vanilla variant of the Galaxy S21 smartphone, that is, the Galaxy S21 has been spotted on the website of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).

The phone with the model number SM-G991B has obtained BIS certification. This indicates that the Korean tech giant is planning to launch the base variant of the Galaxy S21 smartphone in India.

While the BIS listing doesn't reveal any details about the upcoming smartphone, reports in the past have given us ample information to keep our spirits up. For starters, we know that the vanilla Galaxy 21 is tipped to get a 6.2-inch Full HD+ display with a screen refresh rate of 120Hz. It is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 875 or its own Exynos 2100 chipset and run on One UI 3.1 based on Android 11.

The phone is likely to get a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 12-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra wide-angle sensor and a 64-megapixel telephoto sensor. It is likely to get a 4,000mAh battery.
