Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra: Here’s everything we know about this iPhone 13 rival
It’s worth adding that the device has been in rumours since quite some time and have been leaked a few times as well. So, here’s a roundup of all the rumours about the S21 Ultra – something that gives us a fair idea of what to expect.
Samsung has just announced the launch date of its Galaxy S21 smartphone series, which will also be its flagship series of the year 2021. The firm is said to launch three devices in the series and the most powerful of them all is said to be the Galaxy S21 Ultra. This will probably be the follow up to last year's Galaxy S20 Ultra and will play big on cameras among other features. Some might even call it as the Android rival to iPhone 12 Pro Max or the upcoming iPhone 13.

In terms of design, while the front will largely look the same as it will all screen from corner to corner, the main difference will be at the back. Although the handset is seen with a similar rectangular enclosure for the rear cameras, the design is slightly different as one side of the enclosure not merges with the side bezel.

Also rumoured is that this potential rival to iPhone 12 Pro Max, is said to support S-Pen. Although this has not been confirmed, Samsung's mobile division chief recently confirmed that more handsets will get S-Pen support in 2021 including foldables.
As for the specifications, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra will have a 6.8-inch WQHD+ display with a pixel density of 515 PPI. The 20:9 screen is said to come with a flatter look and feel. It will also support up to 120Hz refresh rate. The panel is protected by Corning's latest Gorilla Glass Victus, which made its debut with Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
The smartphone is said to come with a 108-megapixel primary sensor, two 10-megapixel cameras with zoom capabilities, one 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor. You can expect basics such as PDAF, Laser AF, and LED flash with the S21 Ultra as well. On the front, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is said to come with a 40-megapixel sensor.
The Galaxy S21 Ultra is said to run on Exynos 2100 processor, which is going to be unveiled on January 12. This might be a rival to Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, Apple's A14 Bionic or Huawei's Kirin 9000, all of which are made using 5nm manufacturing process. On the software side, it will ship with OneUI 3.1 OS with Android 11 on top.
Other expected features and specifications of the phone include dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, and USB Type-C support. It will also come with IP68 dust and water resistance, as per the leaks.
If reports are to be believed, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra will be available for a starting price of Eur 1,399 ( ₹1,26,200 approximately).
