After Microsoft and Google, it's time for Apple's annual developer conference, WWDC. The event is scheduled to begin today and will continue till June 8. Apple will be hosting WWDC 2018 in San Jose, California. Here are all the details of how and where to watch the event live.

Apple will be livestreaming its developer conference for users globally. Apple users on iPhones, iPads and Macs can follow this link to watch the livestream on Safari browser. Do note that iPhone and iPad users run iOS 10 or above on their devices, and Mac users have updated to macOS Sierra 10.12 or above. The event can also be livestreamed on Microsoft Edge browser through the same link shared above.

WWDC 2018 will begin at 10:00am PDT in the US which would be 10:30pm IST in India. The developer conference will begin with the keynote which will be addressed by Apple's CEO Tim Cook. Apple will make announcements on new software developments in addition to some hardware announcements.

This year the focus is expected to be primarily on emerging tech like artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and virtual reality. Apple's AI-based digital assistant Siri is expected to receive notable upgrades which would bring it back to the forefront against Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. In the AR field, Apple is said to introduce a new mode which will let users play AR games against each other.

Apple will most likely announce the new iOS 12 for iPhones and iPads along with the first public beta release. iOS 12 is expected to come with upgrades to AR features, security and UI. One highlight of iOS 12 will possibly be a new feature to help users monitor their daily usage of phones. Similar to Google's 'Digital Wellbeing' announced at its I/O 2018 conference, Apple will introduce 'Digital Health', Bloomberg reported. This feature will tell users how much time they spend on the device and on some apps as well. ALSO READ: Apple iPhone SE 2: Five things that can make Apple's new compact phone a great deal

This year Apple is said to lay focus on Mac software as well by integrating it with iOS. With the new upgrades, users will be able to run iOS apps on Macs. New features and updates for TvOS and WatchOS are also expected at WWDC 2018.

Moving on to hardware, Apple could very well surprise us with the launch of an iPhone at WWDC 2018 making it a first for the company. The chances seem unlikely but the rumor mill is flooded with details on a possible iPhone SE 2 which could feature an edge-to-edge display with possibly the notch cutout like iPhone X.

It could be powered by the A11 Bionic processor, pack a 1,750mAh battery, improved camera specifics and features, and bigger storage options. Apple could also refresh its MacBook lineup at WWDC 2018. The company is also said to be working on new iPads and Apple Watches but these launches are expected to take place later in the year.
