Facebook partners Sony to bring exclusive content from India Tour of Australia

Facebook said it will feature content such as match highlights, in-play moments with best catches, best wickets and man of the match.

Facebook has partnered with Sony Pictures India (SPNI) to bring exclusive video on-demand content from the India Tour of Australia. The video on-demand content will be broadcast on Facebook Watch.

Facebook said it will feature content such as match highlights, in-play moments with best catches, best wickets and man of the match. All of this will be available on Sony Sports India's Facebook page. The India Tour of Australia features three ODIs, three T20Is, and four Tests. It kicked off on November 27, and it will continue till January 19, 2021. In the first ODI which took place at the Sydney Cricket Ground, Australia won by 66 runs.

We are delighted to work with Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) to bring some of the most exciting moments from one of India's most awaited overseas tours to cricket fans on Facebook Watch,” Mr. Manish Chopra, Director and Head of Partnerships, Facebook India, said on the partnership.

As part of the India Tour of Australia, Facebook also launched a new AR effect for Virat Kohli. The AR filter is titled “Bat Talks for India” and it features Kohli's celebration after his century against Australia around two years ago. The AR filter can be used on Facebook and Instagram as well. Facebook teamed up Sportsmanias to create the Virat Kohli AR filter.
