The second most loved music app is Apple Music. Its easy-to-navigate design makes it one of the top choice in the streaming wars. Apple Music's current version comes with some great features, including playlists made by people instead of algorithms. Additionally, only Apple Music offers ad star Taylor Swift's entire catalog. Gwen Stefani and Pharrell also gave Apple Music exclusives on their latest releases before they put them on other streaming platforms. Its subscription comes at $9.99 per month. 

YouTube Music

YouTube is popularly known as a video streaming platform, but the tech giant also has its own YouTube Music app launched last October to appeal to music lovers. Here you can turn on an "audio" only setting, and listen to music and explore other apps. It's free, however if you want an ad-free version, it will cost you $9.99 for Android or $12.99 for iOS. Google Play Music

Google Play Music might not be the best music streaming service, but it's quietly become a great app. It uses technology from the late popular music curation service Songza giving users an excellent song and playlist recommendations curated specifically for their mood or activities. The premium version of the app that costs $9.99 per month comes with the ability to store 50,000 songs on the Cloud and a free subscription of YouTube Red.

Pandora

Pandora is a good tool for discovering new music based on other artists or songs you like and is quite simple to use. Pandora has even rolled out some new features like Thumbprint Radio, a personalized radio station that plays songs based on what songs you've liked on Pandora in the past like Spotify's Discover Weekly.
