Samsung’s almost a decade-old Galaxy Note series is getting a new addition. Galaxy Note 9 is set to be a big upgrade over the last year’s Note phone. Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be officially unveiled at the company's Unpacked event on August 9. Ahead of the official announcement, Samsung has already disclosed a few features of its upcoming flagship phone. Apart from the official teasers, rumour mills have also given a fair idea on what to expect from Samsung's Galaxy Note 9 smartphone.

While we already know that Samsung's new phablet will be launched on August 9, the phone will go on sale in select markets on August 24, roughly two weeks after the official announcement. India has traditionally been Samsung's priority markets for its top launches, so we can expect the phone to be available by the end of this month.
According to reports, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 128GB model will be priced at Euro 1,050 ( ₹83,500) whereas the top-end model with 512GB built-in storage will be priced around Euro 1,250 ( ₹99,400 approximately).

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will continue the tradition of large-screen with a 6.4-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display with the company's 'Infinity Display'. The phone will have two cameras on the back featuring dual 12-megapixel sensors. The phone will also be capable of recording slow-motion videos at 960 frames per second. For selfies, the phone will offer an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera.
For performance, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be powered by Exynos 910 processor. There will also be a Qualcomm variant, and most likely will feature the Snapdragon 845 processor. In India, Samsung sells Exynos variants of its flagship phones. The latest Samsung phone will also be powered by a 4,000mAh battery.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will not be skipping the 3.5 mm headphone jack like some of the new modern Android phones, and Apple's newer iPhones.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9: Features
Just like the older Galaxy Note 8, the new Samsung phone will have a number of Augmented Reality-based features. The phone will retain the company's iris scanner for biometric authentication. However, it will also give the option of fingerprint sensor and face unlock.
S Pen, the stylus bundled with Samsung Galaxy Note phones, is also set to get a major upgrade this year. Apart from incremental upgrades, the S Pen will feature a Bluetooth support that will allow users to control key features of the phone like camera.
