Google's Arts and Culture has the internet very busy in finding out which famous art work their selfies match with. This feature allows users to take a selfie and examines different artwork across 17 international museums, and finds the most similar looking artwork.
People have been sharing results of their artwork selfies on social media platforms. Some are pretty satisfied with their doppelganger artworks and some not so much. In case you didn't know, there are a number of apps on Android and iOS platforms that help you turn your normal photos into artwork.
Prisma
Primsa was the first app to introduce artwork filters and effects on photos. Using deep learning and artificial intelligence, Prisma turns your photos into classic art like that of Van Gogh and Picasso. Starting with 36 filters during the time of its launch, Prisma now has a dedicated store for filters. You can also create a profile on Prisma and share your edited photos on Prisma's community feed.
Picas
Picas comes with basic editing tools such as choosing the ratio and the angle of your photos. It has a simple layout with the filters available in a single tab to choose from. There are filters associated with popular art like Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad, and Elsa from Frozen. Some of the filters come locked. But they can be unlocked by sharing the app on social media. This app has a small problem of having too many ads, so it's better to use it with your internet connection turned off.
Vinci
Vinci also has a simple layout like Picas with a single tab consisting of all the filters. It also doesn't contain ads giving users a smooth experience of the app. Vinci has some Indian influence with filters like Ramayana, and Kallada.
GoArt
GoArt stands out among these apps as it comes with engaging activities. Cleverly, the app locks some of the filters which can be unlocked through coins. These coins can be earned by verifying your email address, sharing the app on social media and to contacts, and also rating it on Play Store. You can also purchase coin packs. GoArt also displays famous quotes about art with every filter. The edited photos also come with GoArt's watermark which can be permanently removed with you guessed it, coins.
