Instagram Stories get Facebook-like emoji reactions

There are six emoji reactions to choose from on Instagram Stories. This feature is available for all users on Android and iOS.

Instagram has quietly rolled out a new feature for Instagram Stories. Users can react to 'Stories' on Instagram with emojis, a feature seen on Facebook.

"We are testing a way to make it easier to interact and get closer with your friends on Instagram," an Instagram spokesperson told IANS.

How to react with emojis on Instagram Stories

The emoji button is located on the right side of the text bar on Instagram Stories.

You can choose among the six emojis and there will be a shower of the selected emoji on the story.

You can see who reacted to your story by tapping on the viewer list.

Android users can react with emojis to stories which have the reply option toggled off. iOS doesn't have that option as yet.

Instagram has been pretty active rolling out new features for the app and for stories in particular. Recently, Instagram introduced emoji slider, and question sticker for stories. The Facebook-owned platform is testing more features like an option to add music tracks to stories. It will also soon allow all users to apply for a verified account on Instagram.
