Microsoft will soon be rolling out a new feature on its Chromium-based Edge web browser that will make it a tad bit safer for the kids. The company, as per the reports, will soon be introducing Kids Mode in Microsoft Edge. This feature, when rolled out will make it safer for kids to browse the internet.

It is worth noting that this mode isn't available widely in the company's web browser yet. But it is being rolled out to Edge Insiders in the company's Canary test channel. Reports hint towards the feature being available in the company's Dev Channel soon.

As far as the feature is concerned, users will be able to launch the Kids Mode by selecting it through the Profile Picker in the Edge web browser. Users will have to enter the device password for closing the Kids Mode or granting an exception to a website.

In addition to this, Kids Mode will come with several features such as custom browser themes, Bing SafeSearch feature to keep kids away from adult content, and an ‘allow' list that parents will be able to use to set appropriate websites for their kids.

ZDNet reports that the Kids Mode will make child-friendly content available on the New Tab page. It will also include security features such as tracking prevention and InPrivate mode among others.
