Microsoft, LinkedIn, GitHub have reached 10 mn learners globally since announcing digital skills initiative
This 10 million includes more than 1.5 million people across 21 markets in Asia Pacific, including 7,74,000 in India.
Microsoft has shared a report card about the progress it has made since launching its ambitious global skills initiative aimed at helping 25 million people worldwide gain more digital skills in 2020.
The main idea behind the initiative was to bring together every part of the company by combining existing and new resources from LinkedIn, GitHub, and Microsoft. Also to explore an analysis of the unemployment crisis and the opportunity to create jobs in the digital economy.
In three months since the launch of the initiative, Microsoft, LinkedIn and GitHub have reached 10 million learners across 231 countries and territories through opportunity.linkedin.com.

Accessed across 21 markets in the Asia Pacific, tclose to 1,552,000 learners have been reached through the initiative. India ranked second globally in its skilling progress, having reached close to 774,000 learners.
The most popular in-demand learning paths globally were - Software Developer, Customer Service Specialist, and Data Analyst. Similarly, within India, the top learning paths are Software Developer, Data Analyst and Digital Marketing Specialist.
