The application is being used for chatting, sending media, files, sharing status, and much more and that too free of cost and instantly. All that you require is a good internet connection. You can connect to all the contacts saved in your phonebook over WhatsApp, if they have the app installed in their phone. With so many people to connect with and getting too many messages in your chat box, you may not be able to keep a track and struggle to search for some specific chats that are important or with whom you connect frequently. This is when you need to pin a chat to the top of the WhatsApp chat list. WhatsApp has a pin chat feature that allows you to pin up to three specific chats to the top of your chat list. When you pin some important chat, it appears right on top of all the other chats, thus letting you quickly find them and reach them. Both the Android and iPhone users can pin chats to the top of their chats list on WhatsApp. It can be noted that you can also unpin a chat from the chat list, if it is no longer required. Here is how you can pin and unpin chats on WhatsApp on both the Android and iPhone. Also read click here. ## WhatsApp Chat: How to pin chats on top 1. Open WhatsApp on your phone (Android or iPhone). 2. On Android: Tap and hold the chat you want to pin, then tap Pin chat. 3. On iPhone: Swipe right on the chat you want to pin, then tap Pin. However, if you are not a WhatsApp user and want to install the app in your smartphone, you can simply go to Google Play Store if you use an Android device or App Store, if you have an iPhone to download the app. All you need to do is search for the messaging application and simply click on download or install. Meanwhile if you already have pinned certain WhatsApp chats to the top of your chat list and want to unpin it, then here are the steps you need to follow: ## WhatsApp Chat: How to unpin a chat 1. Open WhatsApp on your phone. 2. If you are an Android user then tap and hold the pinned chat, then tap Unpin chat. 3. If you are an iPhone user then swipe right on the pinned chat, then tap Unpin.
