Pixel 3a, Pixel 3a XL could be the cheaper Google phones: Expected specifications, features
Google Pixel 3a will reportedly feature 5.6-inch and 6-inch screens with full HD display and Snapdragon 670 processor.
Google has long been rumoured to be working on cheaper flagship Pixel phones. Similar to Apple's iPhone XR and Samsung's Galaxy S10e, Google's Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL is expected to come with most of the features available in the main flagship but will make some trade-offs to keep the prices down.
While Google hasn't confirmed the existence of the phones, multiple reports have revealed key details of the phones. According to a new report, Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL will sport 5.6-inch and 6-inch screens, respectively. Both the devices will have full HD+ display with 440dpi pixel density.
Google's new smartphones will run on Snapdragon 670 processor. The original Google Pixel 3 phones are powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 processor. The camera specifications are unlikely to change at 8-megapixel selfie camera and 12-megapixel single rear camera. The smaller Pixel 3a will have a smaller 3,000mAh battery.

The latest report comes days after a Google Pixel 3 Lite was spotted on the US' FCC certification website. According to the listing, cheaper Google Pixel 3 phones will come in different colour options, storage capacities and screen sizes. The two phones will run on Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box and will be among the first ones to receive Android Q update.
Google's next-generation flagship phones have also been spotted ahead of the official launch. Dubbed as Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL, Google's next flagship phones will embrace punch-hole cameras instead of a notch cutout. The phones will also have two rear cameras instead of one.
