Realme announces its first Android tablet, Realme Pad in India: Check price and specs

Realme Pad is the first Android tablet from the Chinese company in India. The tablet features a slim design and quad speakers with support for Dolby Atmos. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 chipset. The Realme Pad comes in Wi-Fi-only or Wi-Fi + 4G variants. Aside from the Realme Pad, the company has also launched its Realme Cobble and Realme Pocket portable Bluetooth speakers in the country. Both models come in two distinct colour options and carry an IPX5 water-resistant design.

Realme Pad price in India starts at ₹13,999 for the Wi-Fi only variant that will solely be available in 3GB + 32GB storage configuration. It will also be available in 3GB + 32GB option for the Wi-Fi + 4G variant with a price tag of ₹15,999. Moreover, the top-of-the-line 4GB + 64GB model with Wi-Fi + 4G connectivity carries a price tag of ₹17,999. The trio will be available in Real Gold and Real Grey colour options. The Wi-Fi + 4G models of Realme Pad will go on sale starting 12 noon on September 16. It will be sold through Flipkart, Realme.com, and major offline retailers. Details about the availability of the Wi-Fi-only variant are yet to be announced.

Customers purchasing Realme Pad through HDFC Bank card or Easy EMI transactions are entitled to receive up to Rs. 2,000 of instant discount. ICICI Bank credit card customers will also get a Rs. 1,000 discount.

Realme Pad specifications

The Realme Pad features a 10.4-inch WUXGA+ (2,000x1,200 pixels) display that has a screen-to-body ratio of 82.5 percent. It supports display brightness as low as 2 nits under preloaded Night Mode to cut down eye fatigue under dark. There are Dark Mode and Sunlight Mode as well. The device is powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC. It is paired with 4GB RAM and up to 64GB of onboard storage.

On the optics front, the Realme Pad sports an 8MP camera on the front, which is an ultra-wide lens that has a field-of-view (FoV) of 105 degrees. The company used an aluminium body that has a thickness of 6.9 millimetres and weighs 440 grams. Moreover, the tablet comes equipped with four dynamic speakers that are powered by Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio technologies. There are also dual microphones to enable noise cancellation during video calls and while attending online conferences.
