Reliance Jio now gives 1.5GB bonus data per day to prepaid users
Jio is also giving a discount of 20% and ₹100 on its select prepaid packs. Here’s everything you need to know about Jio’s new data plans.
Reliance Jio on Tuesday revised its select prepaid data plans to compete with Airtel's recent segmented offer under which users were offered 1GB per day additional data for ₹149 and ₹399 packs. Under a new Double Dhamaka offer, Jio is now offering additional data of 1.5GB per day for prepaid packs with any daily-recurring data pack.
This applies to recharge packs which offer data with a daily cap. In essence, Jio users who are on a 1.5GB per day pack will now get 3GB data per day. This offer is on many recharges starting at ₹149, ₹349, ₹399 and ₹449 which increases daily data from 1.5GB to 3GB.
Recharge packs priced at ₹198, ₹398, ₹448, and ₹498 will now offer 3.5GB data per day from the previous 2GB. Jio's recharge packs priced at ₹299 and ₹509 will now offer 4.5GB and 5.5GB data per day respectively. Lastly, Jio's ₹799 recharge pack which originally offers 5GB data per day will be increased to 6.5GB per day.
Jio is also offering a discount of ₹100 on all recharges above ₹300. As for those who recharge below ₹300, they can avail a discount of 20%. This effectively brings the price of ₹149 recharge down to ₹120 after the 20% discount. There's a catch though as this discount is applicable only for recharges done through MyJio app and paid via PhonePe wallet.
Reliance Jio's latest offers will be available starting today and continue till June 30. All of the above mentioned recharge packs come with free access to voice calls, SMS and Jio's suite of apps. Jio's offers are available to all users as opposed to Airtel which is offered to select users.
