Samsung Galaxy Note 9: Expected specs, TENAA certification, and more

Samsung’s upcoming flagship phone, Galaxy Note 9, has passed China’s TENAA certification ahead of August 9 official launch in New York.

Samsung has already announced that its Galaxy Note 9 will be unveiled on August 9 at an event in New York. The phone recently received approval from Chinese certification agency TENAA under the name "SM-N600." The model number hints at a new variant of the Note 9 customised for the Chinese market.

Apart from the model number, the TENAA certification doesn't reveal anything else about the smartphone. Recent reports suggest that Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will come with incremental specifications upgrade and minor design tweaks.

It is also expected that Samsung's stylus "S Pen" for "Galaxy Note 9" would come with Bluetooth support.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is expected to come with a 6.4-inch AMOLED panel with an 18.5:9 ratio that goes with the trademarked "Infinity Display."

"Global units will arrive with Exynos 9810 chipset, but some markets like the US and China will stick to Snapdragon 845," according to a GSMArena report.

Additionally, leaked renders suggested the fingerprint scanner would go below the camera setup. The device is also expected to feature dual rear cameras and 4,000mAh battery. The storage variants are expected to include 64GB, 128GB and 256GB.

According to a Sammobile report, Samsung is pushing the wireless charging limits with the Galaxy Note 9. The phone, which was recently spotted on the US FCC website, is expected to come with a larger 4,000mAh battery with ultra fast wireless charging.
