While Samsung launched its foldable smartphones along with smartwatches and earbuds, MediaTek rolled out its newest chips, Realme confirmed the launch date of its Realme Book Slim laptop and TikTok overthrew Facebook as the world’s most downloaded app.

It was an important day in the world of technology today. Samsung hosted its special Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event online today during which it launched the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphones, Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Buds 2 wearables. MediaTek introduced its Dimensity 920 and Dimensity 810 5G processors and Realme finally confirmed the launch date of the Realme Book Slim laptop. Samsung hosts Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event

Samsung hosted the Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event today. At the event, Samsung launched Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 smartphones. It also launched the Galaxy Watch 4 series and the Galaxy Watch Classic 4 series smartwatches. It also introduced the Galaxy Buds 2 TWS earbuds. While the Galaxy Z Fold 3 has been priced at $1,799.99 (approx. 1.34 lakh), Galaxy Z Flip 3 has been priced at $999.99 (approx. 74,250), Galaxy Bud 2 has been priced at $149.99 (approx. 11,100.) and finally, Galaxy Watch 4 has been priced at a starting $349.99 (approx. 26,000).

MediaTek launches Dimensity 920, Dimensity 810 processor

MediaTek today launched the Dimensity 920 chipset and the Dimensity 810 5G chipsets. They have been built using the advanced 6nm process and they feature support for high refresh rate displays, multi-camera setups and 5G connectivity. MediaTek hasn't announced the chipsets that these processors will support.

TikTok overtakes Facebook as most world's most downloaded app

TikTok is now the world's most downloaded app worldwide. It is the first time that a Chinese app has topped the charts since the study was first conducted in 2018. TikTok is followed by Facebook. WhatsApp is ranked number three, and Instagram is at number four, followed by Facebook Messenger.

Realme Book Slim India launch date confirmed

Realme Book Slim is all set to be launched in India on August 18, which is just a week away. The new laptop will be a part of the Realme Book series. It will be announced next Wednesday at 12:30 PM.
