Twitter Blue relaunching today; subscribe on iPhone for $11

Twitter Blue will be relaunching on Monday. You can subscribe to it on the web for $8 per month or on the iPhone (iOS) for $11 per month.

Twitter Blue will be relaunching on Monday, December 12 with increase in its prices for the iPhone users. In order to get the blue check mark you will now have to pay $8 per month for Twitter Blue web subscription. While on iPhone or iOS devices it is available for $11 per month. Informing about the same, Twitter tweeted on Sunday, "we're relaunching @TwitterBlue on Monday – subscribe on web for $8/month or on iOS for $11/month to get access to subscriber-only features, including the blue checkmark."

Once you subscribe for Twitter Blue with a verified phone number and it is approved, you will get a blue checkmark next to your name. Other than the blue verification tick, subscribers will be able to enjoy several other features like the ability to edit the tweet, uploading higher-resolution 1080p videos, and more.

"When you subscribe you'll get Edit Tweet, 1080p video uploads, reader mode, and a blue checkmark (after your account has been reviewed)," Twitter tweeted. Subscribers will be able to change their handle, display name or profile photo, but if they do they will temporarily lose the blue checkmark until their account is reviewed again, it informed.

The social networking platform also announced that it will begin replacing the 'official' label with a gold checkmark for businesses, and later in the week a grey checkmark for government and multilateral accounts. Twitter also shared an image along with the tweet thread which shows that Blue subscribers will also see 50% less ads than non-subscribers.

It can be known that Twitter paused new Blue subscriptions in November due to the increase in the number of fake accounts on the social networking platform.

In another latest development it has also been revealed that Twitter will be increasing the characters from 280 to 4000. Twitter's new CEO Elon Musk confirmed the same by responding to a question by a social media platform user.

A Twitter user named Allan Obare (@AllanObare4) asked Musk if it is true that Twitter is set to increase the number of characters from 280 to 4000, to which the CEO replied 'YES'.
