Twitter employees in India are witnessing a major distress at the moment as Twitter's new “Chief Twit” begins massive layoffs around the world. In India, the employees have not been informed of any such thing but starting today, they have been notified via a mail and logged out of their systems. The company had sent an email to all its employees across the world to return to their homes and wait for an email to hit their inbox. In India, the employees will need to wait until 9:30 PM IST to get that email.

Based on a report from India Today Tech, it is now said that several Twitter Indian employees have been logged out of their systems and several others are getting logged out. Rumours have it that Twitter under Elon Musk will observe its 50 percent of workforce asked to leave the company.

“We acknowledge this is an incredibly challenging experience to go through, whether or not you are impacted. Thank you for continuing to adhere to Twitter policies that prohibit you from discussing confidential company information on social media, with the press or elsewhere,” said the memo sent to Twitter employees a few hours ago.

Hence, it is now for Twitter employees to wait until an official mail comes in, announcing who gets to stay and work with Musk's new Twitter and who has to pack their bags. Musk had taken over Twitter last week after completing his $44 billion deal. Musk had said that he wants to make several changes to the company to prevent the company's losses and make it a better place to micro blog.

Musk wants to make Twitter promote the idea of free speech, and make it a better place for advertisements. He had fired the ex-CEO Parag Agarwal along with other top management at Twitter to get the company running his own way. Additionally, he also hired a bunch of new people and engineers. Musk was recently under the spotlight for promoting a work culture that removes all off days for its employees.
