WhatsApp feature you were just dying to get coming; check out Pin Chats
This WhatsApp feature enables users to pin chats to the top within the app. Once a WhatsApp chat has been pinned, it will remain on the top even if messages keep pouring in.
WhatsApp, over the last couple of days, has rolled out a bunch of new features onto its platform. The company has already rolled out payment stickers and encrypted chat backups. Earlier, it had rolled out a new feature that enables iPhone users to bring their entire chat history to their Android smartphones -- something that was earlier restricted only to Samsung Galaxy smartphones. Now, a new report has detailed new features that are expected to arrive in WhatsApp soon.
According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on bringing its Pin Chats feature to its Desktop-based app. It is worth noting that the Pin Chats feature is already available in WhatsApp's Android and iOS-based apps. This feature enables users to pin their post important chat window to the top of all the chats within the app. Once a chat has been pinned, it will remain on the top even if messages keep pouring in other chat windows.
Now, the blog site says that WhatsApp is finally releasing a new update that makes pinned chats to be in sync with linked devices, including WhatsApp Desktop app. “Thanks to the new update, you can also pin new chats to the top, and they are automatically pinned on your phone too, even if your device is not online at the same time,” the blog site said adding that this feature is being rolled out on WhatsApp Desktop beta 2.2143.3.
Apart from this, the blog site said that the Facebook-owned messaging app is also planning to integrate Novi digital wallet within its platform. “Facebook already expressed its willingness to include Novi in the Facebook Family of Apps and Services, like WhatsApp. Seen that Novi prioritizes the privacy of user information, encrypting all financial data, this model is totally compatible with the principles of WhatsApp, the blog site said.
It also shared a screenshot of how Novi's integration within WhatsApp would look like. The screenshot shows that users will be able to access their accounts and transfer money -- just like you would while using its app natively -- while accessing it via WhatsApp. That said, this feature is still in development and it will be quite sometime before this app becomes available within WhatsApp.
