WhatsApp introduced the ‘delete message' feature quite some time ago, and definitely, it was a big relief for users. It provided a great opportunity to escape making mistakes! But what if you want to retrieve those deleted messages? That is not there and it is one of the most sought after features on WhatsApp users' wish list. However, things may be changing soon. It seems like this is one of the upcoming features on WhatsApp list. A recent report by WabetaInfo reported that the instant messaging app is working on a new tool that will let you retrieve deleted messages in chats.

Currently, WhatsApp allows you to delete a message from your chat with two options - ‘Delete for me' and ‘Delete for everyone'. Though it is a great feature to delete the messages in chats, but sometimes in a rush we tend to tap on ‘Delete for me', which makes the message disappear from our chats, but the receiver will still be able to access them. In such a case retrieving the deleted message will be a great help for users. The report suggests that WhatsApp users will have an ‘Undo' button soon. Also read: Miracle! According to Wabetanifo, the WhatsApp updates tracker, the instant messaging app will introduce a new 'Undo' button. This will pop-up on the screen as soon as a user pressed the 'delete for me' option to ask whether you want to undo the option or not. Such a feature is already available to other messaging apps such as Telegram. According to that, WhatsApp users will have a limited time to make the changes.

Besides that, WhatsApp users can expect a slew of new features and updates to make the experience better. Another report suggested that WhatsApp is working on a new chat filter for desktop users which will hide all the chats that you have read and will only show the unread chats. Besides that, more users have started getting updates to let you share up to 2GB files on WhatsApp. Earlier it was not possible to send large media files.

However, do note that the Undo button and new chat filter is still under development and when you will be able to experience them is still unknown.
