Amazfit’s T-Rex Pro smartwatch is coming to India very soon

Amazfit T-Rex Pro is an upgraded version of T-rex, which was launched globally during CES 2020.

Amazfit on Tuesday announced that its T-Rex Pro smartwatch would be available in India soon. The wearable will be available through the official Amazfit website and Amazon. Interested customers can also register for ‘notify me' on Amazon from March 24.

T-Rex Pro is touted as an upgraded version of the T-Rex, which had launched globally during the CES last year. The wearable comes in three colour options, Meteorite Black, Desert Grey and Steel Blue. There is no word on the price and sale date yet.

T-Rex Pro specifications and features

T-Rex Pro comes with a 1.3-inch AMOLED display with 360x360 pixels resolution, 3D Corning Gorilla Glass protection and anti-fingerprint coating. The watch has an angular design with metal-sprayed out bezels. It comes with a silicone strap.

It runs on a 390mAh battery and is said to deliver up to 18 days of backup on typical usage. It also supports Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy. The device also comes with several sensors – Biotracker 2 PPG bio-tracking optical sensor, 3-axis acceleration sensor, 3-axis gyroscope sensor, geomagnetic sensor, ambient light sensor, and biometric altimeter. On the software front, it runs on RTOS operating system. The device also comes with GPS.

For fitness enthusiasts, the smartwatch offers more than 100 sports modes across categories, including running and walking, cycling, swimming, dance, water sports, and leisure sports etc. The smartwatch can monitor sleep, heart rate, distance, and speed to calories burned. The wearable also features an ExerSense, an algorithm that is said to automatically detect motions with the help of AI recognition engines on sports big data recognising eight sports modes and record all data.

Another highlight of the T-Rex Pro is the ruggedness. The smartwatch is 15 Military Certified (MIL-STD-810), which means the device "can withstand Extreme Temperature and conditions from 70C heat to -40 cold along with 240Hrs of humidity, 96 Hrs of Salt spray, and shock resistance," the company said. It is also 10 ATM water-resistant.
