Galaxy Watch 3 leak shows a good look at the smartwatch

Samsung is expected to launch its next-gen smartwatch soon. This time Samsung could skip the ‘2' moniker and instead launch the Galaxy Watch 3. Now a new leak shows a very good look at Samsung's next smartwatch.

The display and rear panel of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 is seen in a new leaked render shared by Evan Blass (via xda developers). There isn't any difference really between the Galaxy Watch 3 and the Galaxy Watch. There are two buttons on the right side of the smartwatch. The Galaxy Watch 3 is sporting a leather strap in black colour. Samsung is expected to introduce various strap styles when it launches the Galaxy Watch 3.

The render also reveals that this Galaxy Watch 3 has a 45mm stainless steel case. The display is also protected by Gorilla Glass DX and MIL-STD-810G certified giving it military-level durability. The smartwatch will also come with built-in GPS.

While this is the first good look we have at the Galaxy Watch 3, it's specs have already been leaked. The Galaxy Watch 3 is expected to come in 41mm and 45mm sizes with 1.2-inch and 1.4-inch displays respectively. Other than stainless steel, it will also have a titanium variant. Galaxy Watch 3 will also come in Wi-Fi and LTE variants.

Galaxy Watch 3 41mm will have a 247mAh battery, while the 45mm variant will pack a 340mAh battery, but both variants will come with 1GB of RAM. More features on the Galaxy Watch 3 include ECG and blood pressure monitoring, GPS support and 5 ATM for water resistance.

Samsung will most likely launch the Galaxy Watch 3 alongside the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Fold 2 at its Unpacked event in August.
